Emily Kelly in Mrs.Cannon's 3rd class won the National Fastest Feet competition in Athlone at the weekend. Over 8000 children from all over Ireland ran through the speed gates between September and December in 45 schools and 18 public test centres.

 

From this 24 girls and 24 boys proceeded to AIT Indoor Track Athlone on Saturday 17th December to compete in the semi-finals and final.

 

Emily came first in the girls competition and Bernard Ibirogba from Kildare won the boys final. Both will now travel to New York City in 2017 to the Milrose Games. Congratulations to Emily and her family.
