1916 Rising Commemoration

As part of a National Initiative to commemorate the 1916 Rising members of the Defence Forces will visit the school on Tuesday 13th October to present the National Flag to the school. There will be a talk on the Flag, as well as the reading of the 1916 Proclamation by a 6th Class Pupil. Every school in the country is being presented with the National Flag in advance of celebrations on 16th March 2016. Further details will be given in advance of the presentation.
