The 5th Class pupil went to the Millennium Forum on their school tour this year and saw Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat.

Below Theresa McMenamin, 5th Class, gives her review of the West End Musical.

"Our class attended the performance of Joseph and the Amazing Technicolour Dreamcoat in the Millennium Forum Theatre. It is a touring production from London's West End. The show starred Joe Mc Elderry, an X-Factor winner, as Joseph. The musical was created by the World famous duo Andrew Lloyd Webber and Tim Rice.

Joseph tells the story of a father and twelve sons. Joseph is his favourite son so he gives him a coat with many colours then his brothers gets jealous and sell him to be a slave in Egypt.

The set is absolutley amazing with lots of cool effects like smoke and a range of colours.

My favourite character was one of the brothers, he also played the Baker. He was my favourite because he was hilarious and really caught my eye.

The costumes were outstanding with loads of colours which blew me away. My favourite part was when Joseph told the Baker he was going to get executed in a few days.

At the end we all stood up and sang along and they (cast) waved up at us. It was breathtaking.

I would give it an astonishing 10 out of 10 because it was pitch perfect!"
