15/02/2017 22:44

The Parents' Association would like to sincerely thank all the children who performed so well and provided such great entertainment in the Lip Sync. Competition. Thanks also to all of the Parents, Families and Friends who so generously supported the event, to the school staff for their assistance and above all to Siobhán Temple who organised the whole event so professionally and gave so generously of her time to ensure that the evening was such a great success.

The Lip Sync. Battle raised a total of €3,406. This will be used, along with a recent Government grant, to purchase additional I.T. equipment for the school. Thank you to all who supported the event.

The Lip Sync Battle

by Casey Thompson, Niamh Irwin and Sarah Moloney
"There was a lip Sync Battle on 11/02/2017. It was a lot of fun and many acts took part. There was Tina Turner, MIchael Jackson and lots more. It started at half seven and finished at around half eleven.

There was all sorts of creative costumes. There was 18 acts altogether. The over all winners were 'Marty Motors'. The winners names were Gavyn Harley, Niall Murray, Fionn McNulty and Barrie McGhee. There was a medal for everyone who took part. The winners got a trophy.

Before the winners were announced a draw took place. With prizes such as Vouchers, Wine, Sweets and loads more. Siobhán Temple organised it. The DJ that played the music was called Martin Temple. The commentators name was Paddy Friel. The judges names were Catrina McNamee, Andrew McNulty and Margaret O'Neill. It was a difficult decision to make.

It was really fun to watch and to do! Everyone who went really enjoyed it."

Thank to Gerard Mc Hugh who took these great photos on the night.
