Minister Joe McHugh's visit

Mr. Joe Mc Hugh T.D., Minister of State at the Department of the Arts, Heritage and the Gaeltacht, paid an official visit to the school on Tuesday 16th December. He was accompanied by Cllr. Martin Harley MCC. The Minister held discussions about the proposed new school building for St. Mary's with the Chairman of the Board of Management, Mr. Frankie Quinn and the School Principal, Mr Fintan Keating. Mr Mc Hugh agreed to seek a meeting for a school delegation with the Minister for Education and Skills, Ms Jan O'Sullivan T.D. as early as possible in the New Year. The Minister then toured the school campus and met with pupils and staff.
