Regional Sports

On the 21st of May St.Mary's went to the Regional Sports Day. 98 Children from our school took part. There was a lot of events and everyone supported one another. At the end of the day St.Mary's went home with a few gold, silver and bronze medals but we all knew it was about taking part.

There are a number of events such as sprints, 300m, 600m and 800m races, relays, shot-put, high jump, wheelchair race, turbo javelin and long jump.

The regionals were held in our local athletic club "Finn Valley AC". We didn't need to travel too far but other schools needed to take a bus.

It was a fun, fun day and our Principal and Teachers were very proud of us!
