Soccer Blitz

On Wednesday  the 18th of January a team of 6th class boys and a team of 5th/6th class girls attended a 7-a-side soccer blitz in Deele College Raphoe.

 The girls played first and narrowly missed out on qualifying for the next stage with 2 wins and a draw. The highlight of their games was a wonder goal scored by Maja from a free.

 The boys played 2 games. With a narrow defeat in the first and a brilliant win in the second game their fate was out of their hands. Unfortunately things didn’t go their way, with a win for Scoil Bríde over St. Mary’s Castlefin meant they did not progress to the next stage.

All 20 children played a part, had fun and represented our school really well. Thank you to Ms.O'Donnell and Belinda for accompanying the group and ensuring they all had a great day.
