Congratulations to the MacCumhaills team who travelled to Carryduff, Belfast at the weekend. Twenty six teams from Donegal, Down, Derry, Armagh, Tyrone and Dublin took part. Mac Cumhaills played St. Brigids, Michael Davitts and Carryduff, all from Belfast, in the group stages. They came through this unbeaten. Their next opponents were St. Gall's. In a closely fought match Mac Cumhaills came out on top by two points. It was then onto the final against Clann na Gael. In a pulsating final MacCumhaills were two points up at half time. Playing with the wind in the second half the boys pushed through and won by four points. This was a great display from these young local players. They scored 33 points and only conceded 6. The boys were awarded a magnificent cup for winning the overall competition. Jim mc Guinness was waiting at the club to greet the boys on their return and the boys met with the Donegal players on Sunday morning.
In the team from our school is Fionn (4th) and Cathal (3rd)
